Warmboard-S is our code-approved structural subfloor and radiant panel in one. Panels are 1 1/8 feet thick, tongue-and-groove 7-ply plywood, and measure 8 feet by 4 feet. 4 panel types accommodate virtually any design. Warmboard-S installs directly over the joist in most situations. Finish floors can be installed directly on top of these panels. Both Warmboard-S and Warmboard-R offer the same superior conductivity. The thick aluminum coating on each panel transfers heat more quickly, allowing for faster response times and lower water temperatures. Necessary water temperatures generally range between 80 -110ºF, compared to 120 - 180º for other systems. These lower water temps allow for seamless integration with geothermal and solar systems.
