Public voting for the Architizer A+ Awards ends today—there are only a few hours left to make your voice heard as we select the best architecture and design from around the world. Within the diverse range of buildings submitted for the awards, certain typologies stand out; this year, there is a wealth of exciting art spaces. Programmatically, art spaces can vary widely, ranging from colossal cultural complexes announcing an ascendant economy, to a small, student-run space at a bucolic university. They can be places of reflection, with serene surroundings and white walls, or they can be spectacular buildings where the bluechip architecture qualifies as part of the collection. Either way, galleries and museums offer architects a great deal of creative freedom, resulting in some of the competition's most enticing buildings.
