Using an aerial perspective from his own airplane to capture the dynamic architecture of Daniel Libeskind, rogue photographer Matthias Kunde offers a distinctive portrayal of the architect’s lionized body of work. While images of Libeskind’s designs have become imprinted upon the minds of architecture fans worldwide, it is Kunde’s bird's eye view that offers a refreshingly uncanny perspective. “I want to show people that things with ‘some distance’ or ‘from above’ look often quite different,” Kunde tells Architizer. “The little things disappear and you get the look for ‘the great,’ for the ‘whole picture.’ This applies to nature, but also for the architecture, from the air — with nature merged into a whole — if it was well done."
