The cards represent the oldest, and most artistic, part of the tradition. Everyone likes getting valentines from their secret, or not-so-secret, admirer. The earliest valentines were just paper hearts festooned with lace and ribbons, sometimes with a sentimental saying written or printed on them, but they've evolved to include cards that cater to almost any taste or interest: from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to NASCAR So, it's about time that someone made Valentines for architects. Well, we're in luck. Berkeley, California-based designers Anirvan Chatterjee and "Barnali" have launched Planning Love, a site featuring "V-Day cards for planners, architects, urban designers, landscape architects, transportation engineers, and those who love them." Illustrations of architectural and planning imagery, processed to look much nicer than your standard zoning map or floorplan are accompanied by quips and innuendos specific to these fields ("My heart is zoned specifically for you," "Let's make this stroad a Lover's Lane," etc.).
